Case Study: Blue Dog Hub

  I developed and manage Blue Dog Hub to reposition a traditional service-based dog training business into a scalable, resource-led digital ecosystem, built on SEO-optimised, evergreen content and products that generate sustainable, passive income through ethical, force-free practice. 

Designing and building a scalable digital ecosystem

Blue Dog Hub was created to address a significant gap in the online dog training and wellbeing space. While many owners seek kind, evidence-based guidance, much of what is available online is fragmented, outdated or based on aversive methods.


The challenge was to build not just a website, but a trusted, scalable digital ecosystem that would:

  • Support dog owners with practical, ethical guidance
     
  • Champion force-free, wellbeing-centred training
     
  • Provide value across the full dog ownership journey
     
  • Generate sustainable, evergreen and passive income through digital content and products
     
  • Be discoverable, credible and commercially viable
     

This required a strategy that balanced purpose, usability and long-term growth.

My approach

Rather than creating standalone articles or resources, Blue Dog Hub was designed as an interconnected digital ecosystem, where content, products and resources support and reinforce one another. 


This ensures:


  • Long-term value from every piece of content
     
  • Clear user journeys through learning, support and purchase
     
  • A platform that can grow organically without constant reinvention

This approach allows Blue Dog Hub to function as a passive and evergreen growth engine, not a campaign-led site.

This balance ensures commercial sustainability without compromising values.
